Airport Cargo Scissor Lift from Heathrow to New Zealand

We were instructed to arrange the shipping of an Airport Cargo Scissor lift machine from Heathrow to final destination Christchurch, New Zealand.  Due to the extremely low ground clearance of the machine we had to position a mobile crane to lift the item up on the back of the trailer we had positioned. As we were operating within restricted airspace it was necessary to notify the airport authorities that there would be a crane operating with an extended jib in the air within close proximity to the run way.  Once the item was loaded to the trailer we had it delivered to our cargo handling partners in Southampton docks and it was then loaded to a 40’ Flat Rack container for export to New Zealand.  This whole process only took 4 hours to complete on a Friday afternoon, the key to a smooth operation is good planning.

If you have some bulky cargo or a project shipment of several items coming up be sure to give our experienced team a call us on 02392 75 65 75 to discuss your options fully.
