In conjunction with our partner freight forwarder from China, we arranged for the goods to be picked up and loaded into the shipping container, with delivery to Yantian port for export to the UK. Sea freight from China to the UK port to port varies depending upon routing and schedules. In this instance, Yantian to Southampton took 40 days from port to port. Some routes for sea freight from China to the UK can take 35 days, some 43 days. Once the refrigerated container arrived in Southampton, Mercator’s team took over the reins, settling UK landside charges with the shipping line, completing customs clearance, and arranging for the goods to be delivered on a suitable vehicle for the loading site in the UK.
